Review and Approval of Third-Party Supplier’s Inspection Techniques
Establishing vendor qualification criteria for third-party suppliers providing NDT services, equipment, and materials.
Conducting technical evaluations of third-party inspection procedures, methodologies, and techniques to ensure they meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
Reviewing supplier documentation, including inspection procedures, calibration records, personnel certifications, and equipment validation reports.
Performing on-site supplier audits to assess compliance with industry standards, quality controls, and process reliability.
Approving or recommending improvements to third-party inspection plans, data analysis methods, and acceptance criteria.
Developing strategic partnerships with trusted vendors to enhance the quality and efficiency of outsourced inspection activities.
Implementing non-conformance reporting (NCR) and supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) when discrepancies are identified.
Maintaining a supplier approval database, documenting past performance, risk assessments, and requalification schedules.
